The wind sweeps the beach clean and lays most of the snow up against the side of the ramshackle beach cottage. Out on the ice it sculpts wonderfully organic shapes.

The heavy storms and winds brought more ice in through the week. I'll trek further out on it over the weekend to try to get some dramatic shots of the formations like this...

More ice, huge waves and 20 inches of snow on the way. Time to break out the snowshoes.
